ALMOST POSITIVE DX?

Hey Everyone!

Well I finally went to my opthalmalogist yesterday, because of the problem with my right and sometimes left eye. I told him my symptoms, eye pain, burning, weakness in my lid, and twitching.  I also told him of my appointment with the neuro ms specialist at penn uni for possible ms.  Anyway he did his exam which was uncomfortable to say the least.  The air conditioner broke so it was like 90 in the exam room and waiting room which made things worse.
Anyway, he also asked me about my other symptoms, the reason for the ms visit with the neuro, and I also told him about the lesion in my brain, and that the neuro said "Don't worry about that they're normal", and I told him that I have like 95% of the symptoms on the ms symptom list and then some others.  I also told him about my family history of ms, my sister being diagnosed.  He said based on my eye exam, other symptoms, and family history, he is saying probable ms.  He gave me some meds for my eyes, for both and wants to see me in 2 weeks to do some kind of field test.  So that's where I'm at.  He said  some like I have the start of ON, or early stages of it, or something like that, in other words, it's not full blown On but I have enough of the symptoms of it for suspicion cause there was a small amount of inflamation.  I still have my appointment in sept, they said if they get a cancelation they'll get me in sooner.
My eye doc just wanted to make sure I already had an appointment.   So what do ya think guys.  I'll keep ya posted.
Hope everyone's well, or as well as can be expected anyway.   Chiao  Sandie

Hey Lulu, and everyone!

Sorry it took so long to respond, but I had to have a thyroid biopsy, and it was kinda ruff cause the nodule is deep.  So I was kind of recupping.
Anyway, the med I've been given for my eye is called Maxirol. Some  kind of steroid for some inflammation.  Anyway, it's only slightly helping, my eye is still bothering me. I have another appointment on aug 15, I think, and he at that time wants to do some kind of field test.  So we'll see from there.  Thanks everyone you're all grrrrrrrrrrreat!  Sandie

Sandi,
its great that you went and saw this doctor - the more you can get documented the easier it might be for the neuro to declare a dx for you.  I hope the eyes feel better soon - like shell I'm curious what drug you were given for the eyes.

my best,
Lulu

Hey Sandie,

What did the Dr. give you for your eye? They still hurt?

Thinking it's great you went to the optha - so many times we put things off (least I know I do) and wish it away.

ttys,
shell
