Thank You all

I have been suffering from severe pain and had a doctor who didnt seem to think it was really pain, well I ended up going to the emergancy room in the middle of the night.(am in hospital now) It Just happend luck was with me! and the attending doctor was a nueroligst. He has admitted me, and I found out that the one MRI that I had was useless because it was one done with out contrast. this nuero said i need to have both type done an see the compareson. He said also that he will not subject me to an additional spinal tap,in order to give me a diiagnosis. i have been assigned a case worker (she is very nice, and also has MS.) The pain I have been going thru is something called  spastic nerve syndrome and they have me now on a drug called bacflon, and also on Viicoden. The pain is still here, but is not nearly as bad as before. I really appriciate all your responses to me. You have given me a place to see  some  hope in what was a very dark hopeless place in my life..thank you again

Thank God somebody is listening to you at last, what a answer to prayer that the doctor who saw you was a neurologist and knew just what you were going through.

Keep us posted on how it goes.

Yay!  Not that you're in the hospital, of course, but that you're getting some answers and a decent doc!  I'm happy you're getting the care you need, and hope that your new meds do the trick.  Keep your chin up, and keep us informed!

You sound like your in great hands.

Baclofen is a good anti-spasmatic med.It takes some time to build up then it works well.Don't abruptly stop it,it can cause seizures.

Are you gonna stay with this neuro.

Keep us posted on your progress.

Hi, Montana. Well, the trip to the ER was a blessing in disguise. I'm so sorry you have endured so much pain for so long. Believe me, I can relate. I'm really glad you are on medication and that is easing some of the pain. Please believe, there is always light at the end of the tunnel. It's just that sometimes, it is a very long tunnel.
