Morning!

Morning All!

How is everyone doing?  I'm so sorry I haven't been around much! But, you have all been busy bees helping each other out!  It's absolutley nothing less than a miracle that we all have one another.  Truly, I am blessed!!! This I know, and can count on FOREVER, it's simply a fact!  A fact in my life that will never change. Just taking a moment to tell you all how much you mean to me. . . . .

SO!  On another note - Anyone else TRY to be normal like me this long holiday weekend!  You know, do too much yard work, stay out in the sun too long, couple of beers make your brain hurt and now the body is working much less than it was before - yikes!!!!?????

Come on.... I know we all try to pretend we are normal, and can keep up w/the regular folks, but it's weekend like this past one, that reality sets in!  It sure did for me!

Love ya's!!!
Light, very light caressing hugs...LOL

Hi, SL.

Weeeeeeell....since inquiring minds want to know, and I am an EggYork, I believe the York came first. LOL

I think you should have skipped the weeding and washing the van....attended the two Barby's and the Banquet and you'd have been fine. As a matter-of-fact, I'm sure it was the weeding and the Van washing that did you in.

So, in the future, you are only allowed to do fun things.

And I am very proud of you for neglecting the housework, so you do get points for that one. :)

Actually, I can imagine the altered position of your legs. Isn't it amazing the different contortions our bodies are capable of producing?  I think we have missed our calling, we could have been making money putting on shows and calling them 'Artiste'.

Burn on burn is called MAJOR PAIN! Ow and double ow!!!

Um, was I supposed to be able to see, when I was driving? I'll have to keep that in mind. Ha-Ha

So, you either tied one on and got lucky or got lucky and tied one on. Either way, sounds like you had fun! LOL

Ok, SL and I insist, someone else has to 'fess up now!

  Hugs,
  Sheila

Tee - hee - hee!!!!! You egg you - since your an egg York, tell us, which came first? Inquiring minds want to know the answer to this age old question!

I didn't have nearly as much excitement as you ma'am. BUT...... I pulled weeds, washed the van, went to two Barby's, neglected housework, attended a banquet.

Left me with the backs of my legs in some sort of "altered" position (yea, huh? figure that one out - ha/ha!).

My forearms won't extend, and I've got sunburn on a my entire back that burns on a daily basis typically anyway w/out sunburn.  What's burn on burn called.  I just don't have a good word for it.

But, good thing is, my driving is fine when I can see! Ha/ha. . .

Oh, and I only had 2 beers, got a headache in the am as "if" I got lucky and tied on on - or - tied one on and got lucky!  Either way you want to mix it up and have fun is fine by me!

Thanks for the laughs.  Anyone else care to fess up?

Hi, SL.

Well, like you, I TRIED to pretend on the holiday weekend that I was 'normal', and I almost pulled it off. LOL

I had not driven the car in two years. But, I had made plans to meet my best-friend from high school and beyond, for breakfast on Monday.

So, on Sunday, I took Rich out for a test drive. I drove us into town to Super Wal*Mart, Super KMart, and Town & Country (grocery store). I was nervous, but did fine.

So, Monday morning, after my upper arm pain and weakness subsided, I showered and dressed and drove the half hour to the restaurant to meet my friend. And for 6 hours, I was almost 'normal'. And it was great!

I made the drive home, and collapsed into my recliner.

Tuesday morning, it hit me and I did my impersonation of an egg. My upper arm pain and weakness was so severe, that I ended up on the living room floor, crying, and Rich tried to push me up, and I rolled. I laughed and said, "I'm an egg!"

He lifted me around my waist and put me in my recliner.

I am not sure when I'll TRY to play the pretend game again.

So, come on, SL, I told you what I did, now you tell us what you did! LOL

Hugs,
Sheila

Na, I'm doing ok, just realize my limitations now.... I mean again...... I've done this before, and should know better. So, I guess the question is moreso, when the heck do you finally start listening to yourself? Or, even better, what is that fine line between not giving into the disease (playing normal) and not overdueing it all at the same time.

Surely it's a tightrope act of sorts!  How shall we proceed? And, what should we wear while doing so...ha/ha...kidding w/that one....

Okay girlfriend...what in the world did you do this weekend to put yourself in such a bodily mess?  Overdo?

It's amazing how we pay for our play, when we overdo, but gosh it's so much fun when we are going it.  I like to forget if I can, that I do have MS and be like everyone else.

Why don't you take it easy and rest up....you have been doing more than your fair share on the Forum answering questions?  Where is Momzilla?  How is she doing?  Haven't seen her posting...We can't have two of you out....

Take care of your dern self....do you hear?

Big Hugs, but gentle hugs,
Heather
