Prior to MS I had 3 level spinal fusion for herniation in my neck. Now have metal plate and 3 screws to hold things together. Really makes finding those cervical lesions difficult, but my neuro was able to do so by comparing my previous MRI with a new one and finding signal change.
That's how I got my diagnosis.
I have all kinds of stuff in my neck, almost every disk in my neck, including some stenosis can't remember all of it and can't find my reports...but i also have arthritis and after all, i am 65...had it for years though.

Ironic that you ask this......I'm a limbolander and have had severe issues with my neck for years. Herniated disk of C6-7, T7-8 and L5-6. My neck has gotten worse since my last MRI 6 mos. ago\
My neck is what originally started this long journey of dr to dr and no dx.....
I am in constant neck pain no matter how many stretches I do I am always in spasm. I can't turn my neck easily to the lefty. My left is my weak side.

I chose other because my discs are not bulging in neck always, but have been herniated. Also have spurring, ridges and some other things I'm not remembering right now in addition to the lesion and lermittes phenom.
I have a mild bulging disc that I wasnt even aware of until my first MRI for MS. I also have lots of swallowing problems and neck tremor, if that's what you're looking for.

I have mild bulging discs relatively close to my lesions in my c spine and I do notice that when my neck is tensed up my L'Hermitte's is worse.

I polled No issues, but I actually have a bulging disc in my neck. I have no issues with it though. And, after all, I am 57.

Bulging disc and osteophyte around L5-S1.
Michelle had mentioned that her MS neuro had said that almost 95% of the patients they see have bulging discs and her MS center was thinking about starting a study.
I know there's been quite a few people on this forum mentioning that they've had bulging or herniated discs.
After this poll, if the poll shows that there's a lot of us with neck/back problems, I may want to do another poll with those individuals to see if we can find a plausible cause for this phenomenom.
