new symptoms - should I worry?

I just joined on this month.  I have been experiencing many symptoms but to shorten the story I had an MRI (brain & C-spine) in Feb and am waiting to meet with the Neurologist to go over the results.  My reg doc read the radiologists report that stated some bright areas were seen but not typical of ms.  So my question is for the past week I have been having terrible headaches with piercing pains on the top of my head.  They come suddenly, like an ice pick being stabbed into the top of your head.  My eyes are also very bad this week.  I have this ache deep in the sockets and looking at anything bright hurts.  Sometimes patterns jump around - like a strobe light effect - and I can't focus.  I am not sure when I'll get into see the neuro.  Should I go see my reg doc or eye doctor or just chill out and wait?  Any ideas?  I am not even sure when to be concerned anymore as I have so many weird things going on. I have heard that headaches (especially if you would classify them as the worst you've ever had) accompanied by eye trouble require immediate attention. You didn't say when you are seeing your neuro again - do you have an appointment soon? If not, call and try to get in there or in to see your regular doctor in the mean time. My son had a headache and a blind spot in his vision recently. When I called his doctor the next morning I was told to take him to the ER. Even though the headache had gone away, the doctor said having the combination of the two required immediate attention.
Hope you feel better soon.

What you describe really sounds like a migraine - I could be wrong but coming from someone who has had headaches since I was 16 I know them all too well. I would still call the doctor because they can give you something to relieve the pain and be functional - at least to some extent.

I would call your Dr or the Neuro office and let them know your symptoms..also keep a timeline of your symptoms..when they stated, how long they last etc..

also ask for copies of all your test results when you get them done..OK..it's good to have copies for your records.  I ask for a CD of any MRI I have and the radiologist report...blood tests etc..

hope you feel better soon...your symptoms could mean so many things and you need to have them checked out.
take care

If what you are experiencing is preventing you from living than yes, I would call the doctor. They may be able to give you something to relieve it.

If you'd rather, you could just call the nurse and tell them and see what they say about it.
