New symptoms?????

I wrote yesterday about my aweful time at the ER with a friend and not getting sleep. I mentioned that I had developed new symptoms but would get rest to see if they were going to go away because I was exhausted.

Anyway, I slept most of the day yesterday and all night last night. Woke up this morning and the issues are still there and with a new one to boot. So here goes....

I began having pains in my right leg, mind you, all of my problems have been on the left side of my body up until now. Then I noticed that when I bend my head forward the electric sensations are in both of my legs now. What is up with that, having the feeling on one side of my body isn't enough?

I have been having a massive twitch fest going on in my left hand, which is a new thing. I get burning and numbness in my left arm/hand but other than that nothing. My mom saw my hand twitching and asked what was going on.

And last but not least...I am having problems with my eyes focusing. I have to really force myself to focus, if that is at all possible. I thought maybe this was all due to me not sleeping for more that 33 hours but believe me I probably slept a good 18 to 20 hours yesterday and last night. And I am thinking about going back to bed because my eyes won't focus and keep going blurry.

So do you think this is all due to the other night or are these new symptoms? I can kinda understand the twitching and my eyes because it has happened before but the right leg pain that I am starting to experience is a whole new thing.

Should I call my doctor or should I just wait it out and see what happens?
Sometimes I seriously think I am losing my mind when new symptoms start.

Thanks for listening and hoping for some answers.

Paula

Thank you Michelle,

I put a call into my doctor to see if I can get it tomorrow or Monday. Hopefully I will be able to, well I hope these new symptoms subside so that I don't have to but if not I want to be able to go and see what is going on.

I have been getting plenty of rest. It is entirely too hot to go outside.

paula, so sorry to hear of new symptoms

i sure hope you are managing to rest up--that can only do you good.

we may be in sync a bit, because i have predominatly been having left sided symptoms too--until early this week--the rt. side of my body/back are now numb feeling too.

so sorry for the escalation, and that yours is painful is no fun.  i HATE limboland.  it really does seem as though when these things happen there is nowhere to turn.

mind you, even if either of us were dx'd, what really could be done about it all anyway?

sigh.  hope you feel better soon paula, take it easy!!!

Thanks Ess,

I have put in a call to my neuro, I will wait to see if he returns my call but I won't hold my breath cause very rarely does he call back. His nurse just sends my call to the scheduling desk and they never get me in till 2 or 3 weeks later.

We'll see what passes and what doesn't

Thank you and I will get more rest. Going to be another scorcher outside today so I won't be going anywhere.

I don't know what's causing what, Paula, but I do think you need to call your doctor. You're having several new symptoms and that's not good.

Put a call in, then keep your phone next to your bed and try to get more sleep meanwhile.

Please keep us posted.

Darn, I signed off to soon. One more thing my left wrist and hand is getting stiffer, would this attribute to the twitching?
