Ayzia is absolutely right. You have got to take care of yourself, only you can (with the aid of a Physician) treat this. Now that it appears you're having a 2nd relapse, its time to tell the Doc. The pain in your groin , is just that a pain in your groin. don't try to troubleshoot all your symptoms, you will drive yourself crazy. Despite what you have read on these posts, the Doctors are our friends, they are not stupid, they know the difference between the symptoms that matter and those that don't, you have got to partner with them, be honest and let them do their job.
Go see the Doc!!

Your comment about having a baby should be discussed with your doctor. My nuero is a MS specialist and he told me that when I do decide to have a baby that I will have to get off the meds and while I am pregnant, that that will be the BEST I will ever feel with MS. They havent figured out why this is so, but he did say after delivery, all can go south in a bad way. He said I would need to start treatment immediately after delivery. Not to scare you, but it bothers me that you are afraid to discuss your symptoms with your doctor. Please get all the knowledge you can so that you can be successful at managing the disease. When your father was diagnosed, unfortunately they didn't have good treatments to manage the disease. Please keep in mind that no one loves you more than you!!!
Take care
hi
yes he has me on rebif as i hassled him to go on it,2mths ago when they first said ms to me. in the last 3 weeks i have a pain down my groin only when i do exercise and there is no sign of it going, im unsure if this is a symtom of ms or what it is, afraid to tell the neuro in case he makes the definite dx of ms, even dho he already told me i had it, he did say it would have to come a second time to be confirmed. also today after my walk i started to get foot drop. then when i rest for a few minutes it goes, im really confused, i could be having a relapse and dont even know it, or maybe im just over doing it...thats what i keep telling myself. hard to know.
thanks for listening folks

I had my first attack in 94 went 10 years before a relapse. Anything is possible.
Oppps.... didn't see your post with the meds!! :)
Hi harrie!
I'm sorry for your recent diagnosis. I haven't been diagnosed yet, but both my neuro and my bil (he's a PCP) told me that same thing. I'm not sure if that's called "Clinically Isolated Syndrome"? Someone here will correct me if I'm wrong on that.
This disease is so variant and is such an "unknown" as to how each individual will react. Like Ayzia stated, your best bet is to get on a disease modifying drug which could slow down the progression. That's great that she went 5 years between attacks (I hope you feel better soon Ayzia!).
Also, you are young, and from what I've read, have a better chance at a "milder" course.
Does your doctor have you on any meds? What symptoms have you experienced and have they all remitted?
Take care! Pat :)
hi
thank you for your reply, my dad has ms and is very bad, he has been on coxpaxone for the last 3 years and he has stayed stable. i am on rebif, interferon but would like to have a baby next year, so i will then need to come of this as is not aloud in pregnancy, i really hope there is some other medication i will be able to switch to when the time comes.
thank you have a nice day
harrie
I have MS and I am experiencing another attack (which is my second in the last 5 years). I am on treatment right now, called Copaxone. I stopped treatment for a couple of years because I felt better. You may want to talk to your Dr. about a treatment option that will be best for you. I was told I had a less aggressive form of MS called Devic's Variant. Although I dont think my Dr. is so sure now since I am having more problems. I wish you well with dealing with this disease.
Be blessed.
