Got results from cervical mri @ brain mri w & w/o contrast. Cervical showed nothing but a small herniation c4-5 which is news to me. No trouble there. However here is the head mri and Im not doin so well with this one. If u can help feel free to lend me your knowledge. Mucosal prominence and retention cysts in Lmaxillary sinus. Mucosal promince in portions of ethmoid sinuses. Other paranasal focus of abnormal signal seen in Lcerebellar peduncle extending into the posterior pontine tissue. there is peripheral enhancement of this focus with a nidus of relatively less enhancement measuring approx 1 cm in dimension. This lies directly adjacent to the anterolateral margin of the 4th ventricle on the Ll. A second, more well defined and of less enhancement is seen over the l convexity in the posterior parietal peripheral cerebrum. Other small non enhancing foci are seen in the white matter of the frontoparietal regions, with 4 distinct foci detected. There may be another small lesion just inferior to the tip of the right frontal horn.
impression: multiple abnormalities as defined and discussed above. Other possiblilties, mestastic disease. (which I am going to be looking up) However my neuro never mentioned this illness. So i am assuming that he does not agree.
thanks a bunch and sorry for the large post. ( i will try to keep it short from now on)
