Opps I fell over (again)?? MS?/migriane?

Hi Guys,
I went over to a BBQ at our neighbours last night and when I was leaving the neighbours pointed out the stars in the night sky.  I decided to look up to check out the sky and I just fell over, this is the second time this has happened to me, it's like I can't look up to the sky anymore without losing my balance.  It was night time as well (obviously) and I did seem to feel off balance.  I had bad pins and needles at the time in my feet but I attributed this to migraine? Would the balance thing be migraine too?
Can migraines cause balance issues?
Like I know that it can cause vertigo so could this be migraine?

I have such a hard time trying to work out if my problems are migraine or MS/TM, or if it is just my migraine making my symptoms worse from the TM.  I am just always so confused!

Thanks for your comments.  For newbies I do have two separate issues, I have had an attack of TM (inflammation/lesion spinal cord), no brain involvement years and years ago and what the neuro thinks was a more recent attack again on my spinal cord BUT I also get migraines without the headache but just weird sensations in my head etc., my migraines do cause vertigo and they do cause eye twitching and general body twitching and pins and needles etc. but what I find difficult is differentiating between what is migraine and what is the TM or is it something new reoccuring.

My neuro does not think I have MS but he does think there is a strong possability that my TM is reoccuring.  I have a lot going on at the moment symptom wise but I am never sure if it is just migraine activity or the migraines flaring my TM symptoms up just like a cold or fever etc. would.  So I feel completely in a state of confusion and I don't know if my symptoms are migraine or TM or a combo deal.. or if I am developing MS.  I also have other bladder issues etc. going on that is new that also is questionable, so I am just confused,

In answer to your question Deb I didn't have a headache but I had lots of pins and needles and tingling down my leg into my toe going on, and my eye was twitching so I think this was my migraine aura but I had no vertigo at the time I was looking up but who knows... boy am i confused, sorry for the rant, I am in so much pain at the moment with my bladder spasms I am getting depressed about the whole deal

Balance is a big problem, for me too along with severe vertigo, blurry vision, pins and needles and on and on.  i know what your saying about the looking up or closing your eyes.  I was told that this is caused by migraine assaciated vertigo or Mav.  I am new to this forum and I am have learned so much from others on this site.  I have been on an organic diet for aobut a month and I really still feel the same.  Better on some days and worse on others.  Sorry to hear you've fallen.  Hope you find some answers.

Balance has been my most persistent and most consistently troubling symptom of this entire illness -- whatever it is.  It's been worse again lately, incidentally.  Thought I was getting better for a week or so, but now I'm not convinced.  Well, maybe I'll look as bad as I feel when I see the neuro-ophthalmologist on Friday, and he'll want to look more closely.  Since my job (and consequently my generally excellent insurance) will end in two months or less, I hope somebody wants to do something soon.

Sorry to hear you've been falling.  For me, that is one of the worst things, too, but I've been fortunate enough not to do much damage, and to have fallen almost entirely when nobody's looking!

Were you having a migraine whe you fell?  It's hard to tell sometimes what is caused by what.  I have this problem, too with balance and it seems a lot worse now that I'm getting these short episodes of vertigo.  If I look up or close my eyes, my balance goes right out the window.  I think it's MS related because I've noticed this symptom more and more lately, and I've had pretty good control over the migraines.
