Hi there! Isn't this group the best? :-)
Um, I'm not a doctor and I don't know a lot of details about it, but have you looked up Parkinson's Disease? The shaking and jerking and some of the other symptoms remind me quite a bit of what my dad has been going through and he was just recently diagnosed with Parkinson's.
Whatever it is, I do hope the neurologist you're going to see is a good one and can help you. Even if the headaches are "just" migraines, the neuro is a good person to see for those.
Try not to worry, but like Jan said, keep a list of your symptoms and take it with you to the neuro. My neuro wouldn't let me give her my list of symptoms and timeline, but she encouraged me to use them as I summarized what I'd been through in the past couple years. And it was very helpful to have something to remind me of some of the little things, since my memory is like Swiss cheese lately.
Good luck, and please let us all know how things go and what the docs think!!
cheers,
---SM
Thank you both for responding. No headache in 2 days which is wonderful. But yesterday left the dog in the house while I went to work which I have never done, thankfully she was good! I think the forgetfulness is the worst. Also yesterday my ins agent sent me an email asking did I realize my car ins had lapsed. And the cc co called to say I was late, I'm never late on bills. I feel like I'm forgetting everything. And the shaking is so uncomfortable. I feel like everyone can see it. Do you think I have MS? And yes, this will be my first neuro appt ever and my appt is 8/17 but I think that is good so I will have lots of time to track whats going on with me. I agree that my anxiety can get the best of me so I'm on my way to the pool to meet a friend with a bottle of wine.
You are all so nice :)
It's so great to have somewhere to feel safe to ask questions isn't it? I'm glad you found the site. I'm sorry you're going through this - headaches are bad no matter WHAT they're from. To have the visual symptoms too must be frightening. My only advice is to go ahead and notice things and write them down, but then try to let them go. Anxiety can build up pretty fast and make our symptoms get all that much worse. I'm not saying they aren't there, real, and disquieting - they are - but they can get worse with anxiety. I know fear can work ME up. I don't know what you like to do to relax, but while you're waiting, practice it often.
If you have any sudden severe symptoms, then of course contact your doctor. But keeping a record of all you can remember about your medical history and what's happening now, will help when you see your neurologist.
I wish you well. Blessings, Jan
