New Findings!!

For all of us MSer's out there, please know that MS can possitively MIMIC STROKES!  I know because this terrible experience happened to me. I still have residule Neurological effects from 1995's exascerbation. I am also optimistic and if I did it once then I can do it again!  I just want everyone to know that MS is more than a vision problem and more than a numb limb. It can strike as a whole with all presenting symptoms. So please educate yourselves and your family and friends so they know what to expect should something like this happen to you...God forbid.

hello just an update i have been back to the dr. as my gp hasbeen away for three weeks the dr. that was filling in refered me to a neuroligist. anyways my dr. isback from vacation so was finally able to talk to him about all that  has been going on for the last month thanks to my keeping a detailed journal of all ofmy symptoms.he is now going to expedite the neuroligists appt.so that is good i am also going to have a ct scan done tomorrow i realize that this will not show ms lesions but the gp. said that the neuroligist will want to have it done before he sees me. my gp feels that i may have ms or some other nervous system dysfunction.I am still having the calf tightness, numbness, the fatigue, the random nerve pain, twitches and tremors, headaches this has been like this since june 08 of 09. how long does an excaserbation last?the fatigue is overwhelming probably would be working if it was not for the fatigue and the balance issues.

Hi, if you are new, than welcome, if not I am sorry it's taken me so long to meet you. I haven't been getting on line very much, but that is improving now that my Mom  loaned me her laptop. Yes, she is totally awesome...
MS has hit just about everything inside and out side that it can effect. But I am still alive and kicking, even though some days are more difficult than others.
Our Group has seen me through some of the most difficult times . I am so grateful I joined before all He-- broke loose a few weeks  ago. I think I am starting to mend, but it is slow going. Thanks to all the love & support I receive from Our Support Group  I know I will continue to heal each day that passes.
You gave us some good information, and I thank you for it.
Hope you'll stick around and let us know how you are doing...
Sending you Hugs {{{~!~}}} ShadowsSister

Hi Sebley,

I don't believe we've every met, so hello to you, and welcome since I've missed you somehow along the way.

When did you have the stroke? Did you think it was your MS? Was it difficult to get someone to look deeper due to MS? What happened?

I'm sorry for all the questions, but it is important for people to recognize that not all issues are MS-related and it would be good to hear the story as it played out.

See you around!
