Paresthesia on upper back

Hi Everyone,

For the last 7 days I've been experiencing constant paresthesia (tingling, numb, pinpricks, and burning) around my right shoulder blade area.  Sometimes it feels like it kind of goes up into the right backside of my neck.  And sometimes my arm and hand feels the same way.  I've also noticed that at times my fingers feel like they can't grab or hold as good as they normally do. But, overall, it's mostly just my right shoulder blade area that feels like this.  It's very strange.  Most of my other symptoms have been on my lower extremities.

I've called my neuro's office and they want me to come in to see his PA.  Has anyone else experienced anything like this before?

Thanks,
Kelly

I get paresthesia, numbness, and spasms right above my braline.  I have several 'subtle' lesions in my upper spine and one at T10.  They cause most - probably all - of my lower extremity symptoms.  It doesn't bother me unless I forget to take my Baclofen.

I have spasms in the left trapezius muscle of my back.  Flexeril seems to keep it manageable.

I just googled trapezius muscle and that's exactly to a T, where I'm getting this feeling.
Bob, what do you think yours is your related to?

Mine is spasms on just the left side of the traps, so I figure it must be one of the lesions in the Right motor cortex.  They didn't see any lesions on the C-spine in the 1st MRI and everything except the paresthesias in my feet/lower legs is asymmetrical.  They never did a T-spine.

I treat it with Flexeril and IcyHot.  The IcyHot or Capsaicin Cream is really just to act as a "counter irritant" so I don't fixate on the spasms.  The Flexeril helps a lot.
