Left Thigh Spascm uncontrollable above knee

Thank you for your help on this..

I am a 50 year old women, relatively healthy.  Yesterday, I was unable to stand on my left leg without excruciating pain.  My left thigh above my knee is tremling out of control.  However, when I sit and bend forward the pain appears to subside a bit.  However, the thigh spascms continue.  A few weeks pack injured lower back at a Hot Yoga class.  Left left was affected, however, not severely as it is now.  The lower back pain is somewhat still there.  However, the pain that is unbearable is the spasms in my left thigh above the knee.  Difficult to stand on leg, apply pressure on the leg.
I have been practicing the hot yoga for almost 14 year regularly.  Never ill. However, poor diet.

Hi newhealth and welcome to the forum.

Sounds like you have injured your back and this might be what is causing these thigh spasms.  Have you seen a dr yet?  If not, I would recommend this and soon.

I hope these spasms ease off for you, but please see a dr and get their opinion about this.

Take care,
doni

OUCH!  Those leg spasms are aweful.  I am sorry you are having this pain.  I had some in my calf/foot & the pain went all the way up my thigh.  The pain in my leg lasted for 5 days.  I do hope that you find relief soon - when you do - let me know your trick  :)  I am sure others will chime in with advice but I wanted you to know that you are not alone with this problem.  Take care.   Janette
