neuro visit

Hi all! Wanted to let you know, I saw my neuro today. I really like her. Only second time I've seen her. She was real sympatheitc with my financial situation. Don't have to go back, until Jan. She said would be ok, to get second job for few months. Wasn't to keen about it before, due to my fatigue. But said I could always quit, if it got to much.

She wants me to start on modifying drugs. Would love to, but can't afford it. Might have to try and borrow some money, from one of my sisters. Will wait and see. I finally got ahold of Shared Solutions today. They said they could reimburse me for co-pay, after I sent proof of payment for it. That's nice, but doesn't help me now!!   Karina

I have decided to file for bankruptcy. Will take care of financial problems and wont interfere, with being able to afford to be treated. My sister said, she'd lend me some money. Sure hate to ask, but money has never been this tight before. I already called the BBB abd they said, the company I was considering, is in good standing with them. Plan to do it next week.

Don't really want to get second job or roommate either. I like to live by myself. Though my good credit will be damaged for 8 years, my problems would be solved. Would wipe out my debt totally. Would only have to pay them a fee. Think it would be worth it.   Karina

Hi Karina

Finding a doctor you like and can work with is great! Congratulations.  One step in the right direction.  Six months is an awful long time before seeing her again... will you be able to get hold of her if something changes dramatically?? or you need advice....

Maybe your one of your sister's could help with the copay.  Don't know how that works... don't have that over here....  keep looking.  With a confirmed diagnosis, there may be more assistance options.... some drug companies even offer assistance..... spend some time researching.... or maybe someone here can advise.

Regarding an extra job.  This is ok if you feel up to it.... and you can always quit (but not good for employment record).  Think carefully about what type of job you can realistically manage.......  then also consider that you may need to juggle some other things so that you can get extra rest, if needed, to help you manage this job.

I reckon that anything autoimmune is not going to respond all that well to chronic stress.  Of course being broke is a super major stress (particularly if it means you can't get the treatment you need to keep this condition under control), and the job may well be less stressful than the not having money....  so certainly if you can find a suitable one go right ahead...

Hope you can work it out...  Keep talking to us all and let us know how you are going.

Sally
