Rebif-Too Hot-But Not A Fever

I can only sleep a few hours at a time, then, I wake up so hot. We have the A/C set to keep my bedroom cold. I took my temp. and I am not running a fever.

I've been on Rebif, since November of 2012.

Any thoughts?

Sheila

I didn't feel hot, until maybe 6 months after I started Rebif.

I don't sweat-just feel so hot!

It's 3:30 in the morning, and I'm up because I'm too hot.

I think I may quit Rebif and not take another DMD.

I just ran a search for "multiple sclerosis night sweats", and I found an article that states that 16-36% of people with ms experience moderate to severe night sweats. The article broke it down better than I just did.

All this time I thought it was hormonal, lol!  (Who knows, maybe it's both in my case...)

Hi, Alex.

Thank you. The problem is, if even a fan blows on me, then, I get chilled. I can't catch a break.

I haven't had an MRI since I was diagnosed. I was diagnosed without visible lesions.

Maybe it's time for another MRI.

I use a cooling mattress pad and pillow. They have a certain kind of gel. Sometimes I sleep with and ice pack under my pillow when I am hot I hold it for a few minutes. Mine came when I lost my ovaries not from MS. MS does not usually cause changes in temperature unless your brain stem is damaged which is rare. MS reacts more dramatically to temperature changes.
