could it happen
Hi I was in a rear ended car accident in 98 I haven't been able To excercise and lost all Muscle mass and can't get it back. Dr just told me yes that happens I looked up MS and have most all of Symptoms could i get MS from a car Accident?

Hi there, the only way to answer your question is with one word - NO!
They dont actually know (yet) what causes the demyelinting brain and or spinal lesions, which is the cause of the sx's that happen with Multiple Sclerosis (meaning many scars). There are many other conditions that can cause similar sx's, think of them as MS mimics, spinal issues like say from a car accident could produce similar sx's to people with MS spinal lesions, similar sx's but the causation is very different.
