hi i seen a neurologist last week and he says the radiologist over diagnosed on his findings on my mri. neuro says i only have one spot and is not ischemic foci or demeylination. He says there could be a number of things maybe been there from birth or bump to head. all he wants me to do is have a cholestrol test. He says the spot is not in the right place for ms.
apparently these are on the left hand side, does anyone know what this indicates. If it was ms would the small foci be on both sides. I am an x smoker. I started to experience balance and funny eyes imediatly after miscarriage.
Good morning, and welcome.
Not being an expert in the field, I can't speak definitively in any way on your question, but I will say that I doubt your ENT can, either, at this point. It sounds like a "maybe," but there are so many other things that go into an accurate diagnosis of MS that it's really much too early to say. Spots on T2 and FLAIR can come from an assortment of things, as you've probably already heard.
You've come to a good place for information and encouragement, as the people on this forum are super. My advice is to wait to see what the medical professionals say, but in the meantime, educate yourself with the "Health Pages" posted here (see yellow button at upper right) and elsewhere, and by sticking around with this gang to learn from the conversations.
We hope this helps, and will pray that you find clear and accurate answers soon.
i forgot to say i havnt got copy of report, mri was instructed by ent, he just wanted to rule everything else out as he thought my problem was to conected to ear.
