ok. My pt says I should not be walking unassisted. Inside for me is not a big problem as long as I have something to hand onto or my walker. But we live in a split level house and that presents huge issues. A scooter in this house would not work.
Crazy how things work.
Hi, My neurologist wrote a script for me because my legs are very weak.
After his examination, he said i needed one. My husband is still working for health insurance, even tho he really should be retired and enjoying life. With the price of avonex he is continuing to work for as long as he can.
We are lucky to have very good insurance. but the paper work had to say(inside use)
for a wheelchair or scooter. I could not believe this.
The company where i purchased it handled the back and forth with the neurologist
I don't really know the critia. Linda
What is needed to get approved?
I have to use the ride on carts in the store. I can no longer go to the park or places like the zoo with my family because I can not walk very far.
My legs are weak and my gait becomes clumsy. i am not sure how to start that process or what is needed.

Linda that was great news! One cannot appreciate how much that means to you unless one has had the experience of limited mobility, which many on here have.
Congrats, your friend, terry
Yay! Mobility good!
