Is this MS? Please help

Hi everybody, would really appreciate your help on this. I'm 21 year old student....... Symptoms started 3 months ago.....cataylst for this spiral of bad symptoms was that I smoked a bit of cannabis (really stupid of me I know)....then I suffered panic attacks (I suffer from anxiety disoder anyway) and then all these things began :

First symptoms - flashes/floaters in vision, slight eye deviation, slight face turn and head tilt, difficulty focusing eyes and convergence problems. (The convergence problem was picked up by the eye specialist and maybe I'll have another discussion with him about the possible deviation). Also, when correcting my body posture and standing 100% straight (without head tilt).....I tend to sway a bit from the side to side and feel unbalanced.

Other symptoms - Cyst suddenly developed on scalp (I was very surprised by this), teeth set moved further into mouth (maybe this is ageing process I don't know), occasional ringing in the ears, occasional numbness and tingling on head, sometimes feeling of changing heart rate and vibrating heart beat, feel very tired after exercise and takes longer for heart rate to return to normal, finding handwriting a little bit more tricky and not quite as neat as before.....it's as if hands feel slightly more weak when handwriting.

Recently began symptoms - Muscles spasms, eye twitching, eyelid skin drooping slightly?, fingers twitching and tremor when at rest, feeling like speech is sometimes slurred and words come out quickly and wrong (could be connected with change in teeth position?) , arm and knee joint weakness

I also should have mentioned that my GP did organise some blood checks (thyroid and glucose I think) and MRI scan of head, both which have come back normal. That was definetly reassuring news, but I still don't understand the cause of all these symptoms.

Is there any chance it could be something like MS? Would a 3 months case of this show up on the MRI? Would MS cause lesions and inflamations that would show up on MRI scan 3 months after start of symptoms?

My problem is that many of these symptoms are on and off, apart from the feeling with eyes, and many of them are in the slight form......nothing in the extreme....so it's difficult for me and my local doctor to identify the exact problem.

Thanks.

Greetings and welcome.  I had to laugh at your opening because we all have been young and stupid at some point in our life.  Smoking cannabis has nothing to do with provoking MS - in fact cannabis in rx form is used by MS patients to control symptoms.

You have probably self-diagnosed yourself when you tell us that you suffer from anxiety disorder.

The human body is incredibly noisey.  If we turn off all the outside stimuli and really listen we can hear all sorts of malfunctions and noises When we focus on the possibility of being ill and our body betraying us those noises usually increase in volume.  I would suspect that as you worry about the possibilities it is amplifying the pings and whistles in your body.

Many of the things you mention would not normally be associated with MS.  Resting tremor does not happen with MS - it is usually an intention tremor.  The cyst on your scalp and the movement of your teeth is not an MS symptom, either.

All of this said, if you still continue to have problems and doubts, you can always ask to be referred to a neurologist for further testing.  I hope something in this reply helps to put your mind at ease.

be well, Lulu

Go back your your diet.  What chemicals are you putting in it?  Do you know MSG has 13 different names and what MSG does to you?  Do you know the dangers of microwaving your foods?  Start from scratch.  Start eating fresh fruits/veg. ...no processed foods.  Check you pH levels.  Start alkalizing your body (look up alkalizing foods).  No breads (has sodium benzoate and mycotoxins in it), no white sugars/sugar substitutes...use honey/stevia instead.  Hope this helps!
