I just looked up your profile...I guess the Boston area wouldn't help you that much.
I love your puppy. I just lost my golden service dog in July at age 7. He had cancer which I worked hard to cure for 9 months.
It was mast cell and inoperable - between the bones in his leg. I miss him terribly!!!
Just never give up. I have had the epidural blocks but using too much steroid medicine is not all that healthy and my PT warns against this. I wanted IV methyl prednisolone for my MS which has not really quieted that much - my eye keeps being painful!
Physical therapy works...the best in the Boston area is Spaulding Rehab and they have satillite offices throughout the state. New England Baptist hospital is very good for orthopedic stuff and they have really great PT's - that is where I started for my back pain in the early 1990's. They helped with the MS too.
Good luck! Medicare has cut the visits per year for PT and MS to 17 rather than what you need. That is why we all need to join the MS Advocacy line and call Washington D. C. when asked. Right now cuts to MS research is crucial. Call your rep. and your Senator. Everyone here in MA was happy to hear from me except Scott Brown's office - they were NOT very gracious! Elizabeth Warren takes over in January which is welcomed by this writer!!!
Thank you, this helped allot! ***@****
Ask the doc to explain. And then ask him to refer you to a physical therapy program to help with your spinal issues. PT's work miracles. I was in a wheelchair the past two months and I am walking. I am not walking as far but I am walking nonetheless. That is better than not walking in my book!
Remember we're not dr's here but with the help of google i'll do my best to help you make sense of the report.
Multilevel Spondylosis: Spondylosis or also known as spinal osteoarthritis is a degenerative disease that often results to loss of the normal structure of the spine as well as its function.
Straightening of the cervical lordosis: This maybe the result of the spondylosis but its very common and can be genetic, its basically the curve of your neck is straighter than the normal curature.
The rest is talking about spinal lesions, the "right C5-6 level" could be a new lesion if it wasn't on the last MRI or it could mean its still active.
Thats about all i can come up with, hope it helped a little bit!
Cheers........JJ
