I get the "cell phone vibration" paresthesia as well, but mine is my entire head. Very frustrating to say the least and a little disconcerting as well. However, my only diagnosis has been migraine without aura (made by a neurologist that I'm not happy with but due to insurance, am kind of stuck with).
I see him again next week and am hoping he'll do a little more than throw meds at me and send me on my way. Again.
Well you aren't crazy, When I started getting the buzz in my backside, I thought OK your losing it now... I had it in my hands and feet since early on in 1985, the backside didn't start until 1999, and it has progressed. Little did I know that it was a sign that the large bundle of nerves connecting the bladder, colon and rectum that were now being effected by the MS.
Sally I want to encourage to always report new symptoms to your Dr. I waited to tell my Dr, until all the bladder problems started. That was a Major mistake on my part. I was embarrassed and thought it would go away... It hasn't and none of my Doctors think it will improve after so many years......
Stay in touch, I want to know how you are doig. OK? I am sending you special hugs...
Thanks so much for the feed back. I will mention it at my neuro appt at the end of the month. I just wanted to be sure it wasn't a "crazy" only in my mind symptom!

HI all
I was driving my car two days ago and my foot started to buzz I thought I had dropped my phone by my foot it was quite strong so I pulled over looked on the floor no phone looked in my bag and there was my phone.
A few times I have been walking round the shop and felt my phone vibrate but when i got my phone out (which was in my bag over my shoulder) there was no calls.
I have taken the vibrate of so now I no its me not my phone.
I get that vibrating sensation from Lhermitte's. It happens when I flex my neck forward and I feel it buzzing on the front of my thighs all the way down to my feet. Although sometimes it is more of a sharp feeling, like an electrical shock.
Cell phone vibration is actually a good way to describe the buzzing. It's so hard to explain it to anyone who hasn't had those odd sensations.
Sally, I wrote a Health Page on this type of sensation, that is called a "paresthesia." It's called "Paresthesias - Things that go Buzz in the NIght." You might want to read it to understand what these phantom sensations are all about.

Yup, Me, too. I think it's duct taped to the ball of my left foot.
The weird thing is, I woke up the other day, and instead of being intermittent, it was constant and very strong. I just laid there, chalking it up to a paresthesia - THEN IT MOVED!! My foot was resting against a purring kitten!
Not all that buzzes is a paresthesia.
Q
Yup, same here, I get it if I sit down and prop my feet in an odd position on the floor.... it is rather annoying but normal now....

I get buzzy legs and feet :) My feet will buzz if I'm really tired or have been on them for a long time...it's like our own personal built in massager :) LOL!!!
Wow this is really weird, because I had this very thing last night when I was watching TV. I actually asked my husband if there was a cell phone on vibrate by my feet. How weird huh. I just have gotten used to feeling weird things all the time that I don't even think about it anymore. It is annoying, but normal for me.

Coincidences can be funny, they can also make you say, whoa! That was strange. Glad it made you smile!
Sally
Sally,
I don't know if it is a conincidence but when I pulled up your post the ad to the left was a pair of feet and the ped egg.... it just amused me when I read your foot vibration question and I could see those feet moving! But when I get tired I usually am easily amused.
My best,
Laura
