Unusual symptom

For the last few days we have had relief from the 100 degree heat.  This evening I sat out front and didn't feel even remotely hot.  I drank plenty while I was out as well.  In total I was out less than an hour.  I stood for a few minutes to chat with another mom and quite suddenly I felt as though I was going to faint.  No weakness and my knees were not locked and I shifted weight etc.  After a minute I explained that I was going into the house and I barely made it.  I went straight to my room and laid down.  I was still pale and feeling a little weird after 30 minutes.  I had eaten dinner and still can't figure out what caused it.  Since this had none of the normal weakness issues I was caught off guard.  Has anyone else had similar episodes?

You know, it's funny how our blood pressure can affect stuff like that.  I've found that sometimes I can stand up and my heart doesn't keep up with me standing up - I stand there for a while, feeling dizzy, until everything starts pumping and my body gets used to me being upright.  I have low blood pressure anyway, and I've wondered if MS damage has affected the circulation.

Well, my first impulse is to still suspect the heat.  We can fail to perceive how hot it is when there has been higher higher that was intolerable.  How hot was it while your were out?  And was it dry or humid?

You are also describing what sounds like a vaso-vagal epsiode, like your blood pressure dropped from standing.

I don't have a perfect answer.
