Had an MRI, but can anyone help me with clarifying my report?

I'm 27 years old. After experiencing some facial tingling for a couple weeks, I then experienced some limb tingling/numbness and contortion of my hands and feet for a minute or two. I was tested for Lyme and had blood work done all which came back normal. I'm still experience random extremity aching, occasionally my fingers pull in toward my palm and feel tight to open my hand. I had an MRI without contrast and the findings were as follows;

There are a couple of punctuate hyperintense signal foci in the bilateral frontal white matter. This is nonspecific and may be gliosis or demyelination. Clinical correlation suggested.

Anything I look up has ties to MS and I just want to see if anyone has had a similar experience that can kind of give me a clue as to what to expect?

Hi Jenn and welcome,

Your actually brain MRI isn't specifically meaningful, a couple of non specific lesions in the frontal lobes isn't usually classed as abnormal findings, so your brain MRI wouldn't be suggestive of a neurological condition like MS causing your symptoms.

Keep in mind that when ever you google things like numbness and tingling, neurological conditions like MS are always going to come up but MS is not the only cause or the most common cause so try not to get concerned that it could be something like MS at this stage. Actually If your saying these symptoms are in all peripherals (hands and feet) and only for a short duration of a minute or two, these are common red flags pointing away from conditions like MS so what your likely to expect is further tests to try and work out what's going on...

Hope that helps.......JJ
