Glad to read there is some good news as well as the rest of what you have to deal with. It helps not to have everything going wrong at once. I will be praying for you.

I am so very sorry Cowgirl. I can't imagine what you went through while on the table. When will the surgical biopsy be done? How is your daughter feeling? I am sure she is very anxious about you.
Please keep us posted. I was thinking of you on the 19th and wondering how it went. I still remember what it was like when my mom had her biopsy.
If you have time, may I recommend a book called "How to Prevent and Treat Cancer" by Dr. Michael Murray. He works with the Cancer treatment Centers of America" and our huge cancer hospital in Delaware recommends this book to breast cancer patients.
I am not implying you have cancer, but it is very good in telling you how to prevent cancer too.
I will pray for you. When you have a date for the biopsy, please let me know. I am hoping the calcifications are just that and nothing else.
May God watch over you and your family and give you Peace.

Hi all,
Well they couldn't perform the stereotactic biopsy on 3/19/08 because I didn't have enough breast tissue. Believe me, they tried. I was on the table for over an hour. Now the radiologist sent a STAT report to the surgeon saying that they need to do at least 2 areas of surgical excisional biopsies on the right breast to get at the clusters of microcalcifications. GRRRR. Then he added that the left breast "nodule" that lit up on the mri needs to be biopsied now also. The other radiologist had said follow up with that one in 6 months. They changed the BIRADS score from "4A- suspicious for abnormality to 4A - Suspicious for Malignancy. I'm going crazy waiting for this to be over.
Just wanted to keep you all posted. Even though I know this is an MS forum and God knows you all have your own issues....we all have breasts and need to pay attention to those too! Take care and I'll keep you posted on how the surgery goes. Meanwhile, make sure you all get your mammograms on a yearly basis :)

I will pray for normal benign results to your biopsy. Keep us posted.

Hey Cowgirl,
glad you got through that week.
Wonderful that youre daughter is doing much better and that she is reassured.
Good luck for the biopsy next week. At least you are taking action.
You are so welcome and deserving of all the support we can give.
