Going to a rheumy is a good idea. I spent months seeing a neuro (who kept scrating his head) and when I finally went to see a rheumatoligist, he connected the dots and told me there is something very wrong with my immune system. It helps to have new eyes look at your history.
Take all your lab tests results with you! Both docs might order more blood tests based on your pasts blood tests.
Good luck.

My Primary Care Physician did all this blood work in her office. My "Pro-Time," was off since I seem to bruise easily, but was never sent to another specialist.
But I go agree, a Rheumatologist would be the one to rule out Sjogrens. Somebody please correct me if I am wrong. A Hematologist is all about disorders of the blood.
Let us know more about what your testing shows as soon as you get the results.
Have a good day,
Heather
Always good to rule out all other possible causes. And, there can be coexisting conditions.
Yes, I think the reumatologist would be the one to rule out sjogren's.
I want to get the stroke thing ruled in or out. When I ask my neuro if he thinks that it may have been a ischemic stroke two years ago, he says I seen nothing acute. This was eight months after the attack. He has been teter tottering between ADEM and MS for two years now.He had made the coment that this may end up being vascular, but has not ordered any test to rule this out and feels that they are not necisary. I have a high risk foor heart disease and stroke in my family and I want to know for sure that this is not something that I need to worry about anymore.
Do you know if the reumatologist is the one I need to see to rule out sjogren's?
Santana
Hi Santana,
Good that you are getting things checked out and other possible causes for your problems looked at.
I think these tests are mainly from blood tests for the blood clotting risk. The reumatologist would be history, examination, blood tests.
