How long have you been on the gabapentin?  And is that 400 mg per day? That seems like a low dose for nerve pain.  I am currently taking 1,200 per day and felt tired at first, but your body does adjust to it.

If you pain is not being controlled properly, that could be contributing to your fatigue. I'd get the pain under control, either with the gab alone or adding another med for the pain, and see if that helps the fatigue.  Look at any other cause for the fatigue before asking the doctor about a medication for it specifically.

I hope this helps.

Neuropathic pain, right?  i don't know a thing about that...  but you might ask about an anti-fatigue medication, like Provigil.  I know several people have success with it.
