A little over two weeks ago I ordered a new computer that will give me enough power to compose music (hopefully) and play games on. Well it arrived this afternoon and was a lot bigger than my current computer. It just would not fit under my computer desk. So off a headed to walmart to get a new computer desk so that I could hook up the new computer. The new computer desk is a small one so that I will have room next to it to set the computer.
Of course by the time I got back from walmart it was time for me to leave in order to have my shrink ordered dinner at 5:30. Boo Hoo! I wanted to get my computer up and running so much. So I drive the 1 hour to the restaurant and it is basically deserted, though still more people than my last meal there. I was up tight an anxious right from the start probably mostly because I really wanted to be at home setting up my computer. But by the time I finished my dinner there were more people coming in to fill up the place and my anxiety was increasing. Not sure if it was the people or the computer that was causing this, but I ended up leaving after a 10 minute wait.
So I get home finally and start putting together the computer desk, then taking it apart, then putting it together again for over an hour. Did this 5 times as for some reason I could not get the keyboard drawer to work properly. by now I am exhausted, sweaty, and going crazy. I'm no master mechanic or anything like that, but I've never had any trouble before putting together things like this computer desk. So I decided to take a break and not bother with the keyboard drawer, but took one last look at the directions. All of this time I had been installing the draw glides backwards. Arg! mumble, mumble, mumble. So now I am writing this post while trying to regain some energy in order to take apart the desk one more time and hopefully put it together the right way. At this rate I'll still be working on setting up my computer at midnight.
