can anyone help?

I am looking for a neurologist for my husband. We have seen many neuro's  but it seems that no one has an answer/explanation as to what is happening to my husband. We are so lost and confused. We know something is wrong yet the docs all say all tests come back clear.  He is forced to think nothing is wrong, its either aging or stress.
Symptoms my husband has are not do to either. Something is wrong but we cannot find a doctor to take the time to start from square one and not follow another neuro's diagnosis.
I can give all symptoms and tests done to a neuro who is willing to help us!!!!
Losing hope.

The MS Soc. of Canada has a list of MS centers in Ontario. I'm not sure how the system works in Canada, or if this big shot neuro works at one of the centers they list, but  it might be a place to start.

Neuros who suggest age, at 48, as the cause of lesions are not the neuros you want to be dealing with :-)

There is a MS clinic in Michigan that is great not sue how far that is from Ontario.  Not good with logistics.  Age does cause lesions as well as otger mimics. But you are his advocate. I will look some mire and post again.

Where are the brain matter lesions?  Do you have the report. Certain disease process cause them and yes age does cause them, but with different appearances

Have any of the neurologist gone over the pictures of the MRI with you and explained in detail in way you can understand?

Also ask what their differential diagnosis is then. Be your own advocate, your husbands advocate. Sometimes that is the only way you will get answers.

Hi, thanks for the replies! We live in Ontario,Canada. We are so frustrated with the medical system here. It seems the neuro my hubby had is well known here and every neuro just follows his diagnosis. Something is wrong yet no one is willing to help him!!!
symptoms are: seizures, loss of use of right side twice this year for 2 weeks( in w/c) during episodes, headaches, tremors, memory loss, loss of taste and smell twice this year for 24 hrs both times, he has had core ataxia for 2 weeks, ears ringing( started 3 days ago) still persistant ringing, always tired., vision  and balance problems.
there are more but those are the major ones.
He has had MRI's , EEG's, ct scan's , even admitted to epilepsy unit and they say he is fine...they tell us nothing is wrong.
something is wrong! when this all started a year ago, they did a MRI on head and spine to test for MS or brain mass, they say" no..he doesn't have MS", they wont even say its epilepsy until one is recorded on film! yet so many dr's have seen him have grand mals.

Finding a good neuro can be tricky.  I flew from Italy to the States to get away from the system here and find someone who would spend more than 15 minutes with me.  I went to a great neuro in Chicago that I'd happily refer if you're anywhere near there.

Where do you live or what is the closest largest city? What are the symptoms?
