Curiosity and that cat

I felt bummed out (dare I say cheated) that someone had over 1600 images on her MRI and I had a mere 271. For what it's worth, two jumped out at me, and I am most curious to know what the bright spots are? I posted them in my photos section.

I do realize that diagnoses are not made here, but am just looking for some chitchat about them. Two neuros have told me my MRI's are normal.

Thanks!

I've had the reports and the CD for a few weeks now. I've been told all is normal (by a neuro AND an MS neuro). I was just cleaning out my medical paperwork today since the stuff hitting the fan seems to be settling down. Just plopped on the couch to see if, now that I've learned a few more things since those early days of anxiety, could I identify things with a bit more understanding. I think the edginess is wearing off, regular day-to-day-ed-ness is settling in.........

and that's okay.

Now, I have a four hour drive on the road tomorrow, I feel pretty good today (first day in over a month), God is good.

It's okay.

That being said, I have posted 3 more pictures over in my Photos, just curious, that's all.

Thanks again,

Suzanne

I know what you are going through..........I did the same thing!! Mine were just of the brain and I must have looked at them a million times before I got the report. I wanted to know what the white spots were and my first neuro (which I have since fired) told me oh those just show up we dont know why..........AUGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH
He drove me insane!!!!!!!!
Tomorrow I have the spinal MRI  I am not a fan of that dang MRI machine. I cant stand having that thing closed over my face. And to my understanding this one takes longer :-(
Anyway, I'm so this is stressing you out so. I will keep you in my prayers!!

Hugs,
Beth

I am NO expert...but what you are seeing is exactly what Zilla said, collection of the contrast dye in the folds of your brain.  Just fluid collection.  Not really white spots, just collections of the contrast dye that are picked up through the MRI imaging.  These in my opinion are NOT lesions.  What you are seeing in those two images are normal brain..

Hi,
Ya I had over 1560 images and just found out my brain is normal with all the dang white spots!! not sure why they did so many pic's either Quix explained it earlier but upset now can't think.
so moral of the story is I guess my first mri had less then 100 and this one thousands... and still they say the white spots are normal, I however am not NOmal!!!

Zilla, you crack me up.

I do have the reports, all was deemed to be fine.

Wanna, I had the brain and c-spine done the same day. Is there any particular image I should be looking for? I was looking at the ones that Wingnut (Tammy) had, and will dig around and find mine.

That would be the one time I'm glad I don't have 1000+ to wade through!

Out for dinner, definitely back later!

Just curious...does it matter how the MRI is sliced?  What I mean is side to side vs. top to bottom?

Suzanne...was the MRI specifically for the brain or was it for the spine as well?

OK, first of all, I want you to know that I am not a radiologist.  People get me confused all the time.  It's the glasses.

I know you're not looking for a diagnosis, and it SO hard to wait for a report.  So, here goes nothin.'

The bright spots are from the contrast dye.  The spots do not look like lesions like on others I have seen.  It's just the dye illuminating like it's supposed to.  It could be an empty spot, or a blood vessel, which seems completely normal to me.

The thing I want to know is....How did you get such a HUGE cerebellum?  OMG -- You brainiac!  I wonder if you posted the pic just to make others, who shall remain nameless, feel inferior.  Knowing you, I highly doubt you did.  But one does wonder.......

It all looks good to me.  Hope you don't have to wait long for the report!
