am I overreacting??

In the last few months I have had a wierd sensation on my arm. The sensation feels just like cold dripping water, in fact I was in the bath and the feeling came on and I was looking up and all around to find out what was dripping on me, there was nothing. I have been at work, lying on the couch and many other things when this happens. I went to the doctors today to explain what was going on, so I decided to tell her other wierd things, but things that I thought were nothing. for example, on the base of my skull on the right side I get tingling sensations, so much that I end up pulling my hair or hitting it to try and make it go away. Then sometimes when I talk to people I will be in the middle of the conversation and forget completly what we are talking about. I am also experiencing aches and pain randomly in my legs. My doctor is concerned with MS as well as Fibermyalgia. Am I overreacting??

I began losing track of conversations about a year before I was diagnosed.  I don't think it's overreacting to think it's MS - but as Ess says, your symptoms are a feature of neurological problems, not necessarily MS.

Hi Jenny. Welcome to the MS forum.

I can't tell whether you're freaking out a little. If so, please don't. A lot of what you describe is seen in MS, but parasthesias (weird sensations with seemingly nothing causing them) are a feature of other neurological conditions too. It's way too soon to know anything for sure. You're just at the beginning of your journey.

Has your doctor referred you to a neurologist? That would be your next step. There are lots of tests you'll need.

Hang in there.
