back to the swallowing

I went for an  EEG yesterday because of urinary incontenince.  That was going to be it for awhile.  I post on another forum and just told them there that I was not having anymore tests.

Last night As I was fallling to sleep I coudn't swallow my saliva.  I tried to swallow but couldn't.  Eventually I did.  It seems that something wouldn't move...no choking, no pain, Just unable to make some muscle move to swallow.  It happened 3 times.  This is the first time I have actually become frightened.  Trying to move some part of me that wouldn't move.. It felt like something was temporarily paralyzed.  I guess I will call neuro Monday.  Is this the kind of swallowing problem anyone else has had?

Yes, I've had this problem.  I recently posted on this issue.  See below for the link.

Do call the neuro on Monday.  Until then, I would sleep with several pillows to prop yourself up, or in a recliner (if it's really bad).  It is very scary--do call your neuro ASAP!  This was part of an MS flare-up that I had.  I also had trouble eating, which was worse in the evenings.  Do you find trouble eating as well?
