body stiffness and sitting and difficulty turning during the night due to stiffness

I am 53 years old have been an athlete most of my life. I an very stiff, discomfort is primarily in my right hip groin and leg. I have had xrays and mris all of which have been unremarkable. I loosen up after about a minute of walking. My shoulder are stiff or sore at night making it a bit challenging to turn over at night..

I don't have any trouble when I work out.. just after periods of in activitiy...  what can this be and what type of doctor should I be seeing?

Hi and welcome, did you intend for your question to land in the MS community, to be honest it sounds more like an arthritic type issue to me than what i'd expect for a neurological condition like MS...JJ
