copaxone injections sites

I'm wondering from other copaxone users if there are other injection sites that can be used other than the legs, arms, hips, and stomach?  The injections in my legs are tearing them up.  All of the other sites seem to be fine, but my legs have permanent damage to them and I want to quit injecting there if I have an alternative body part.  Any suggestions?

Thanks for any comments.

I don't have a lot of fatty tissue on my thighs, so I just moved my injection site down/around to an area where there is enough. My neurologist once mention any place where there is enough fatty tissue should be ok for the injection.

I have been having the same problem.  I feel like I am running out of places to inject, because the ones from a couple of weeks ago are still big and swollen.  I will call the folks at shared solutions to see what they have to say.

Go the buttocks I say! My stomach is the most sensitive and is starting to scar so I self inject more into my bum now as as result.

I have tried applying fresh aloe vera to the sites but I am not sure whether this is working but it feels nice.

We have had several great discussions about managing site reactions when starting Copaxone.  Try using the search function for this community to see if you can find one.  If you still have a tough time I'll see if I can scare one up.

Two ideas that come to mind right off.....
EXPERIMENT WITH DEPTH OF INJECTION - A SMALL ADJUSTMENT IN EITHER DIRECTION CAN MAKE  A HUGE DIFFERENCE.  DIFFERENT BODY PARTS WILL LIKELY REQUIRE DIFFERNET DEPTHS OF INJECTION.

MASSAGE SITES STARTING 24 HOURS AFTER EACH INJECTION.  IT HELPS PREVENT THE BUILD UP OF SCAR FORMATION FROM EXCESS MEDICINE SITTING IN THE SUBCUTANEOUS TISSUE.

I'd certainly check with your neuro or SS if there is significant scarring or signs of tissue damage early on.  It isn't unusual for it to take several months for reactions to 'normalize' but long lasting / permanent damage isn't something you should expect.
