Hi Meg,
I wish I could help. I have had plenty of steroids for ms related issues; and and I have had cortisone shots several times for arthritis- but never for anything that required antibiotics. I was given oral solumdedrol for a severe allergic reaction once... I have also been prescribed a steroid inhaler for recurrent sinus infections. I would politely ask why? What will the steroids do to help?
Tammy
I use to get bronchitis a lot. If my oxygen level was below 90 my PCP would give me a cortisone shot, inhaler, and prednisone pills to take. Cortisone is a powerful anti-inflammatory and can be very helpful in reducing inflammation. There are some risks in taking it as with any medication.

He had given it to me to help the breathing.....this Dr. I never trust though but he is leaving his practice so it keeps me from having to fire him,
Luckily I got to my cardio and I may have a blockage, not getting enough blood flow to my heart, will go into the hosp on Weds and find out whats going on. I have no idea what will be happening. My Dr. said it I have to get a stint I will be staying overnight.
Thats all I know and plus i am likely to get any other information wrong.
