Hi... welcome to the forum.. seems like the Neuro is lookin for back problems... but I would keep a record (timeline) of your symptoms...when you get them and how long you have them... etc...

a year is along time... let the Neuro know if you have worse symptoms and tell the Neuro anything you might have missed... OK..

take care

i had a lumbar, cervical and thorasic mri scan. with contrast.( not a brain mri)

cervical spine showed some wear and tear , but this was minimal.

i to cant find anything related to a spinal cord cleft on google, could this be the same as a lesion maybe ?     To be honest i forgot to tell the neurologist about the lermittes sign thing ,i will tell him next time i go.   i also get some weird feeling in my fingers when holding a pen ect . sometimes i wake up in the night and my arm and leg has gone dead.(pins and needles). waiting a year for my next scan seems a long time but thats how it goes i guess..

Joey, Steve, Joey, what is your name...I'm only kidding.

Welcome to the forum.  I don't know what a cleft on the spine means.  I've not heard it around here, so I don't believe it's MSish.

But, you do need a thorough eval from a good Dr. Do you feel you got one? Did you get a brain and c-spine MRI too?

What else did the Dr. say? Did he say you were experiencing Lermittes sign w/the neck bending issue?

Sorry for all the questions and sorry for what you are going through.  Hope we can be here for you.

Well, Joey, welcome to the forum.  To deal with your immediate question, from my limited knowledge of MS I can unequivocally answer "maybe."  There's so much that needs to be evaluated that it is generally next to impossible to diagnose such a complex disease in such a short time, and with only the information in front of us.  These problems could also be from a host of maladies that mimic various symptoms of MS, but are in fact unrelated.  There is undoubtedly more that your doctor(s) will need to discover.

Regardless, this is probably one of the best places you could come for information and support while you wait for your doctor(s) to collect and work through the evidence to arrive at a reliable diagnosis, hopefully to lead to some rffective treatment.  While you're here, read some of the "Health Pages" that are accessed through the link on the upper right of this page, next to the little yellow icon with the (ant-sized) sheets of paper on it.  They are written by members here, for members here, and in my experience present a great deal of complex information in a plain and straightforward manner that even I can easily grasp.

Peace & blessings to you.
