Is this lhermittes sign?

each time I bend my neck forward, the closer I get to my chest, I have pain in the middle of my back. It feels like a sharp tugging, almost like pulling a stiff muscle, but more severe. The closer I get to my chest, the worse it gets.

I know you all aren't medical professionals, but I'm at a loss here.

I do have lesions on my brain, none on my spine. I am getting a spinal and a VEP test next week to find out if I have MS or not.

Hi and welcome,

No actually the L'hermittes sign is a sudden, brief, sometimes buzzing sensation like an electric shock that's triggered by flexing the head forward and this neuropathic pain sensation moves down your neck into your spine, often radiating down the arms to your fingers and down the legs to your toes, it generally only lasts seconds but it can definitely be intense.

Hope that helps.........JJ
