Hi

Yes I know what you mean, well I think I do,I get the tight feeling around my calf's
but this is slightly different, the only way I can describe it, its as you say  like someone touching you but with a little pressure or push its quite strange iv been getting it in the rib cage, on my back and my head.

Sometimes I look round to see if anyone is there, spooky that's it its a spooky touch,

yes! no! maybe the same as you?

The problem comes when one is trying to explain all these things to the nuro.

Iv been having a few itching moments today, first it was my leg so I itch then my back I itch then the bottom of my lip then my eye brow this lasted about an hour.

Now my forearm is burning/stinging.

DEEP JOY

Hi

I get a tightness in a couple of places but more intense.  Something a bit gentler , is the feeling of tissue on the top of my foot or cotton balls under my toes . I always think its those things , weird.   I always feel like a bug or some small creature is on my leg

As for the stir-up pants , they were around in the fifties , I wore them in the sixties to ski in , no snow on the boot or up the pant leg ...  what was your excuse in the eighties..  is that when slouch socks were also a hit?

Yes, I used to wake up each morning calling out my second youngest son's name, because I was sure he was sneaking in my room and grabbing me around my lower calf.  In my half-awake state, this is all that made sense to me.  After several weeks, I just got used to it.

Like everyone else has said, it didn't hurt, it just felt tight.  Like....someone's hand was squeezing slightly around my lower calf.  Strange.  I couldn't even bring myself to tell my neuro at the time about this sensation, because it seemed too weird.  Soon afterward, perhaps a couple of months later, I had my first episode of sudden onset severe paresis, and foot drop, so that I couldn't walk.

It is strange, these sensations we put up with.  They are not harmful, but should be kept track of and reported to the doc.

Hang "tight,"

Zilla* P.S. -- I think we all did the stirrup pants for much too long, until finally, hopefully, a kind friend gave us the nudge that the decade had passed.  TIme for some pants with a numbered size, not just a letter -- although most days I still prefer the letters!!!

Yes, I sometimes feel like someone is holding my bicep - kind of like those arm bands Egyptians wore. Doesn't hurt - just pressure. Haven't had the last few "bad spells" I've had, but I had in a few others. Some things show up for some bad spells, then go away for a few.

I think you can have muscle spasm that can range from a tightening feeling to very painful. I would feel my foot (when I got that weird feeling) and I could tell that the muscles and skin was tight but my leg was relaxed. It wasn't painful, but like you said, annoying because I kept grabbing my foot thinking something was on it. I don't think muscle spasms have to always be painful.

Stirrup pants were silly but I'm guilty of wearing them back in the day LOL. The next time you experience it...feel the area and see if it feels tight to the touch. I hate all the sensory things you have to deal with. They can range from annoying to painful and the doctors can't tell you what's going on.

Take Care :)

"Bump cos you want to" LOL...     :)

I think I've had something like that. I pretty much thought it was a muscle spasm. Sometimes painful and sometimes not. I would have a pressure feeling around my arm, leg, stomach etc...There was one time I got that feeling that wrapped around the bottom of my feet and would run to the top. It felt like I was wearing stirrup pants (I think that's what they were called)  that were way too tight or that someone was grabbing and holding my foot. Do you remember stirrup pants? I think they were pretty popular in the 80's.

It was very annoying. It's pretty annoying when you get a feeling like that and it reminds you of clothes you use to wear LOL.

Love Ya
