Hi all, I stopped over here in Sept 07, and had a few M.S. questions, and everyone here was very helpful, quick recap, 2006 mri, lessions, susp for delmylenation, seen 1st neuro, without any other testing said I didn't have m.s. so I went to different neuro 5/07 odered no other brain mri's. only the 1 done my own g.p in 2006. He ordered evoked potentials, he said they were normal, had some numbness and tingling and itchyness in hands and feet, he ordered mri of cervical pine basically normal too. Now I am gathering all records to go see the 3rd. nuero speciallizing in M.S. and of course I look at my records when I get them, and I am shocked when I read the page with results from the evoked pot. now everything seems ok except for the lower extremities, this is what it says,
Lower extremity sep:
Impression: abnormal extremity somatosensory evoked potential with attenuation on the left side and poorly organized wave form. such could be suggestive of a demylenating lesion over the ;eft prosterior column on the left side. clinical correlation is recommended...
Is this something that he should have talked with me about? what does it mean? is this insignifant, or something to be worried about?
when I left his office in may of 2007, the only thing he said was that i am clinically possible m.s. that was before the evoked potentials he orderd in 6/2007.. this is so frustrating,
Now this new dr. I am going to this month seems to have his stuff together, he came highly recommended by a lady that has m.s.
