evoked potentials

Hi all, I stopped over here in Sept 07, and had a few M.S. questions, and everyone here was very helpful, quick recap, 2006 mri, lessions, susp for delmylenation, seen 1st neuro, without any other testing said I didn't have m.s. so I went to different neuro 5/07 odered no other brain mri's. only the 1 done my own g.p in 2006. He ordered evoked potentials, he said they were normal, had some numbness and tingling and itchyness in hands and feet, he ordered mri of cervical pine basically normal too.  Now I am gathering all records to go see the 3rd. nuero speciallizing in M.S. and of course I look at my records when I get them, and I am shocked when I read the page with results from the evoked pot.  now everything seems ok except for the lower extremities, this is what it says,
Lower extremity sep:
Impression:  abnormal extremity somatosensory evoked potential with attenuation on the left side and poorly organized wave form.  such could be suggestive of a demylenating lesion over the ;eft prosterior column on the left side.  clinical correlation is recommended...

Is this something that he should have talked with me about? what does it mean?  is this insignifant, or something to be worried about?
when I left his office in may of 2007, the only thing he said was that i am clinically possible m.s. that was before the evoked potentials he orderd in 6/2007.. this is so frustrating,

Now this new dr. I am going to this month seems to have his stuff together, he came highly recommended by a lady that has m.s.

WELCOME,
I THINK YOU DR. WAS WRONG BY SAYING YOUR EVOKE
WAS NORMAL. I HAD ABNORMAL EVOKE AND THAT IS
HOW I FOUND OUT I HAVE MS. THINK YOU HAVE
YOURSELF TOGETHER FOR YOU NEXT VISIT.
I CAN TELL YOU WE HAVE ALOT OF VERY EDUCATED
PEOPLE HERE. I CAN NOT SAY IF IT IS MS,
BUT IT SURE SOUNDS THAT WAY. THAT IS MY
OPINION, I AM NOT A DR. GOOD LUCK
AND WELCOME ONCE AGAIN.

thanks kitt, yea this is mind boggling to say the least, I finally found an mri tesla 3 in pittsburgh, I had my g.p order the test for the brain and crevical so i would have everything for my new dr. this month, I just had the t3 mri's done on thursday, but won't get the results till next week, I must say my g.p seems more with together with things than the last 2 neurologists I have seen, this limbo **** is wearing me out.. but I know there are many out there in the same boat I am in, I just feel like I am getting poo pooed and the run around.

it took quite a while for the doc to diagnose me with M.S. the symptions were knumbness in my fingers in one hand then it went to other hand i couldnt even write my name,i went to docs and she treated me for trapped nerve in my neck,i was of work 4 ages and walking round with a collar around my neck,i kept seeing the physio at docs then she decided to send me to Sport Aid in macclesfield which is like a gym.I saw one of the physios there, she examined me and i had to do things like arms streatched out and touch nose with eyes shut etc,she was`nt happy with my co-ordination and sent me away and got in touch with my doc the physio suggested an MRI Scan. I had this done which i found very clostophobic but it was worth it because that was the point a few weeks later i didnt have trapped nerve at all but Multiple Sclerosis, Kind Regards Cand

thanks all, can anyone tell me if this evoked potential abnormality could be a factor in diagnosing if I have M.S. or not?  Should I call my doctor and ask why he didn't go ver these results with me? or just wait and talk to the new dr. this month..
