Tingling, pins and needles "there"?

I have been getting pretty used to all the new tingling, pins and needle, and numbness going on "but" this is a new and weird one.

I noticed last night that I had some tingling and pins and needles feeling around my "backside" and down my inner thighs. Was not sure what it was. I did get up and go to the bathroom and then it stopped....ok

This morning as I was sitting in my chair I started to get the same feeling. It comes in waves, lasts a few minutes and then goees away. It happened about 10 times and I decided to try the bathroom as it seemed to work last night. After my visit the feelings went away again....interesting.

After a couple cups of coffee it started in again with the tingling, pins and needles. Went pee again and now its gone.

I have had an issue with constipation and not being able to eliminate. Now taking stool softeners everyday and Miralax when needed. Last issue was 7 days until I was finally able to "go"

I am not sure what is going on now but it seems to be that I am not getting the usual feeling of #1 or #2 but this tingling and pins and needles.

Am I the only one? What would cause this to happen? I am so full of questions right now.

I have an appt with GP in January and one with my NL in Feb.

I am going to keep track of all this and let them know.

On another note hope all are doing well this holiday season.

Thank you and have a great day.

I have had some twitches in the front too. Im sure the look on my face was priceless when that happened. My Hubby gave me the weirdest look and asked if I was ok. LOL

Hope to have a new MRI soon and this time my spine as well. I will be looking to see what shows up.

I hope something does (is that wrong?) To go back through all the testing and still be told they cant find anything is scarier than getting a dx.

Have a great day

I read further, and realized she was talking about the back, not the front!  But I have weird sensations in the back, too.  I think it must be the spine lesion.

Hey Jenn, which area?  My p/n only happen once, very rarely... maybe twice in a year?

Lil - it doesn't seem tp help knowing they've heard worse, does it.  I joked around tonight on the phone with my older brother and told him that I'd told my doc the spasms would be so bad (after having them in one butt cheek for a week) if I could just direct which areas could spasms... .  I think he got embarrassed ; ]

Good luck with it and happy holidays!

I've had tingling and weird buzzing sensations in that area - seems to be related to a UTI or bladder infection.

I get what you mean. Dont think it is a release in the nerve. It does it before I go.

instead of getting the normal feeling of having to go....that happens.

It is all WEIRD!!!

I did bring up the lack of eliminating problem to my dr. I think I appologized 4 times before I told her. Felt just wrong, but I was pretty desperate.

She assured me she has heard worse. LOL

Thank you

Could your back-up issue have caused swelling and enough pressure to compress a nerve (spine's tail in the area) and then the nerve is 'waking up' when the pressure eases up?

With nerve issues you never know the reason sometimes.  I've had pins/needles, briefly thank goodness, in an area near there... have NOT had the courage to talk with my quiet doc about that one ;) hee hee

Good luck.
