Hi all

Not dx with MS - long story but dr. not helpful :(

But I can definately relate to the dizziness thing.
It's often worse when I look up or reach for something high.
Or just for (seemingly) no reason at all!

Not sure how drinking more water would help LOL.
I drink loads and I still feel dizzy (and have rubbish skin LOL).

Another thing to add to the list of sm when you see your neuro,
good luck and stay well x

Hi Poddy, I am not dx with ms, however, I have had the lightheadedness a couple of years ago in which it lasted for 8 months. During this time, when I would laugh ( forced air) would make me feel very dizzy, a cough would do the same. Switching positions and  walking were very unstable.

This was all at the same time the ground seemed to be sinking in when I was walking, double vision became worse and I was diagnosed with nystagmus.

I actually was going to be seen by my neuro within that time it was happening, and all they (the neuro and his PA) could say to me  was,.. that  I need to drink more water. LOL Ha, Ha !!!

Take Care,
Pamela

I can definitely relate.  Vertigo was one of my first symptoms, before I knew I had MS.  It made me very tired, and made it difficult to think clearly.

I can relate for sure I'm not dx with anything yet...but I have been fighting dizziness I'm either drunk walking with dizziness or walking I guess I consider normal (not if you talk to my husband) I just have got use to that kinda of normal walking if I'm not drunk walking....At the moment I feel dizzy at all times especially if I start looking up ..for example going on a walk or just walking....it only seems to help if I keep my head down and look at the ground. I'm still dizzy but not as bad..

And really who wants to look at the ground the whole time...ha ha good thing I'm not going for any job interviews at the moment ha ha no eye contact would be a negative....

I own my own coffee shop it's only about 280 sq ft so in the morning when we get busy it's like I'm  on a ride that is spinning really fast ...I think it's mostly from move quickly and trying  not to lose my balance or run into anything....I feel very light headed and get imbalanced on my feet...

So I can relate for sure ...mine is not vertigo ..it's just plan dizziness and I too feel disorientated

I hope you find answers soon

Take care
Kelly

One of  my earliest symptoms was the inability to walk straight. That is what began my dr's ordering MRI's. I still cannot walk straight for very long. I hold onto shopping carts when I can. I have a cane too.

I did have vertigo last spring which required IV steroids to make it go away. Being dizzy is different than balance trouble. If its vertigo, you might need to see your doc. I have been dx with MS. I hope you get some answers and help for the dizziness.

Take Care
Kristi
