Trigeminal nerve or tooth and sinus problem.

A couple of years ago, my son hit my front tooth eith his head so hard tht it moved backward and cracked the one next to it.  After the initial soreness, it has been fine for 2.5 years.  Recently, the cracked tooth began to hurt so sharply one morning, that I went to the dentist for an emergency visit.  Then last Thursday (today is day 6) my upper lip on that side began to buzz.  I know that is my MS.  Last night, my right ear began to hurt and this AM my right sinus (in my cheek) began to hurt.  I would just assume that it is all the trigeminal nerve except that 2 months ago, I did, and itwas a rageing sinus infection with an ear infection.

I have an appointment with my dentist for the Tuesday after Thanksgiving.  I have a pulminary function test this Friday, and I don't want to take steroids because it could affect the accuracy of the test.  it is exceptionally difficult to get worked in at the Neuro and the Inturnest that I see.  When I call the Inturnest for a quick appt., I usually see the nurse practitioner.  If I even mention that I think that I a beginning a relapse, my nuro will insist on steroids.

What do I do?  The pain in not interrolible...mostly a dull ache in the sinus and even in the tooth.  My right eye is also more dry than usual, andmy ear is also a dull ache.  Thetrigeminal nerve usually does not get to the stabbing pain point that most people with neuraliga deal with.

Thanks,
Ann

I called the Neuro's office back and he is going to order solumedrol.  Kind of frustrated that I did not get to talk to him..  I still am not sure how much of this is MS and how much is something else.

Let us know how you make out, Opie - sorry I don't have any words of wisdom on this one.  Hope fixing it fixes the buzzing, etc. And, this is not a relapse :(
