Thanks for your feedback. I went to an Eye Dr today who 'can't explain' why this is happening and has referred me to Specialist Eye Dr. He did look at the back of my eye, the Optic Nerve and said that it looked very healthy.
Don't know whether to be more worried or not now!!
OSCAR;
VISION NEVER GETS OVER LOOKED,IF A SYMPTOM ARISES WITH ONES VISION,SEE AN EYE DR.
WHEN WORDS FADE OR APPEAR WASHED OUT IS CALLED COLOR DE-SATURATION.
SEE A NEURO-OPTHOMOLOGIST--I'M CONCERNED BY THE ASTIGAMATISMS, WHAT YOUR DESCRIBING SOUNDS LIKE NYSTIGMUS.WHICH I COULD BE WRONG AND I DO NOT KNOW IF THEY ARE SIMILIAR.
THEY STILL CAN CHECK FOR ON THROUGH AN EVOKED POTENTIAL,WHEN ITEMS APPEAR TO MOVE WHEN YOU KNOW THEY ARE NOT,THIS IS TIME TO SEE A NERO EYE DR.
WHAT YOU DESCRIBED IS COLOR DESATURATION AND NEEDS FURTHER INVESTIGATING!!!!!!!!!
I CAN NO LONGER TELL BETWEEN COLORS,THEY ARE ALL WASHED OUT.
I HOPE SOME OF THIS HELPED

Thanks Wobbly for your response. No - I haven't been checked for ON before. I am also pregnant at the moment - so that makes this 'new' vision symptom even stranger if it is, indeed, due to MS. I am not diagnosed - but have had lots of 'MS like' sensory stuff over the last 10 years on and off. I've been to GP's who have dismissed the MS theory and think I have health anxiety (which I know I have to a certain degree!!).
Hi there...wish I could help..but I'm not yet Dx.. I do have blurry/double vision and sometimes will get the color changes... like dull grey instead of black.. and red and orange colors mixed...
but this could mean different things... have you been checked out for Optic Neuo??
take care
