Hi there!
Thanks for joining us! What DMD are you on? Is this your 1st time w/the burning legs this badly?
I hear you with the slowing you down and getting on your last nerve. For me, it's been all I can do to get use to this slow the past couple yrs. I think it's kind of mean training for how you have to modify your lifestyle.
Anywho, I've found that the only thing I can think to do is to stretch out your legs since you've been working so much. It will probably not shorten the time frame for heaviness, but at least in your mind you will feel as if you are doing something about it. And your stretched muscles will thank you.
The only other thing that may offer relief if this ends up being a flare is the steroids, though I hope it's not a flare for you.
Glad to have you here with us. If you feel comfortable to do so, please tell us how long you have had MS, and how you were dx'd, etc.
See you around,
-Shell
Welcome to the MS Forum! You have found many good friends who will support you, and who are very knowledgeable.
Your overdoing it could well have brought on an exacerbation. You really need to call your neuro and report this new symptom. He or she may decide put you on steroids to 'abort' this flare early.
Good luck and let us know.
