My MS Day Spa
I had a Spa weekend :-) Thursday I saw my psychotherapist, Friday I had my 6 month follow up MRI's and yesterday I had my monthly Tysabri infusion. All of this took place under one roof!
The MRI's are brand new and have only been up and running for a week. There are two 70 cm, Open Bore 3T machines. The opening is much larger than the older machines, which makes the experience less dreadful. Because they have bigger/more powerful magnets the studies take a lot less time; brain + c-spine, with and without contrast too less than an hour. At the last place these studies took closer to two hours.
Reading what some of you go through to access all of the necessary resources makes me aware of how lucky I am to have an MS practice that is as comprehensive and focused as my MS Day Spa :-)

I din;t notice any heat at all. In fact I was under a blanket the whole time. I was also warned that the more powerful magnets might cause some some heat/vibrating in my hip, since mine is made of chromium. I didn't feel so much as a tickle!

That 3T sounds so much better than the one I'get used. Does it get as hot? I had trouble getting off the table after I had mine.
