Saw my neuro yesterday 3 month follow up after stopping gilenya. All my ms symptoms are back some worse than others but I knew what to expect. I asked about another dmd and she said there is nothing else I failed almost all of them and lemtrada is to new and do to my malnutrition she feels I would not do well with it.

so nothing left to do just a staedy decline . What has thers off dmds experienced?  Steady decline or fast?

she wrote a script for ampyra anyone have success with this med?

thank you

I take Ampyra intermitently. I'm still trying to figure out whether it helps or the perceived benefit is related to other factors. For me the improvement while taking it is not dramatic,

As to DMD's, have you discussed options like Tysabri or Rituxan?

I'm sorry to hear that they can't offer you a DMD that they think will help. Big hugs.

I take Fampyra (Canadian version of Ampyra). Just started taking it in early July. I walk faster most days and think it has helped a bit with fatigue and brain fog too because although it is a mobility drug it tends to help with other MS symptoms too. The downside is that like other MS drugs, it doesn't work for everyone.

I'm having a 3-month check up soon to see if I notice anything different from my 21-day check-up but I don't think there is any new improvement and I don't feel worse.

Some days I wonder if it is working but know of several others who thought it wasn't and skipping 2 doses (a full day) made them notice the difference. My timed 25 foot walk got almost 2 seconds faster after 3 weeks on it.

I hope that there is something more they can do for your soon,

Corrie
