People are so different. Many can take the max, 3600 mg/day, with no problems. Others can't take it at all. Try tapering off slowly and see if there's a point where it works for nerve pain without causing this level of side effects. If not, talk to your doctor, who may prescribe something else, maybe Lyrica.

ABsolutely.  I only took it at night, and was in a fog until noon the next day.  I also had problems with falling on stairs in the morning.  It's on my list of "never again" meds.

Yes it could be the medicine. My Doctor tried me on that and even at only 100mg once a day it made me like a zombie. He then switched me to taking it at bedtime. It helped me get to sleep better, but even then the next morning I could not do anything until around noon because I was not alert and sleepy. Made for a very short day to get anything done.

It could definitely be the cause - how long have you been on it? While 300mg isn't a large dose, it took me about a week to adjust before I felt fine taking it around the clock. Then as I ramped up in the dose, I went through another adjustment.

Please be safe. Maybe a quick call into your neuro to discuss options is in order.
