Neuro called today, answers and thanks to you all

Well, my neuro called me this afternoon, about a week earlier than expected. She reviewed all my MRI's, and feels "most" of my symptoms are due to a buldging disc in my neck which is pressing on my spinal cord in 3 places, 1 area which she feels is significant and needs to be addressed. She is referring me to a "conservative" neuro-surgeon for evaluation. My appt. is in 2 weeks.

She feels I am "at-risk' for MS, due to the Optic Neuritis and 1 brain lesion. I will follow-up with her yearly with a brain MRI. I am to call if anything changes or new symptoms develop.

So, overall, a good diagnosis I think. Not great, but perhaps treatable at this point.
Thanks for all the good advice given here,
Michelle

I'm glad you have found some answers.  You sound very realistic and level headed about your situation.

We have a saying around here, I forget how it goes, but it is along the lines of mob rules and no leaving!  I'm still working on a dx, and my symptoms are thankfully pointing away from MS, but I still hang out.  This is a very special group of people, lots of wisdom and support.

I think too the large limbo population here benefits from folks who get answers, no matter what those answers are.

Glad you plan to hang out, and I hope there is treatment that can help you live well.

Hi Michelle,

I'm glad you have a dx and that your neuro is going to keep on top of your symptoms with a follow up.

Just cause you've got a dx, doesn't mean we're gonna let you leave us!!!!  You are just stuck with all of us now, you're part of this family!!!

Check in with us every chance you get, cause we will miss you if you don't.

Take care and hope to be talking to you soon.

Hugs
