I have had pain in my eye when I move it. I went to my eye doctor and he said I had an upgaze whatever that meant. I never went to get it checked out because the pain went away on its own so I can't tell you what was going on.

Sorry I wasnt much help but I know your pain and you should go get it looked at to make sure it isn't anything serious. Get an appointment with an opthamaologist they can get a better look into your eye.

Take Care,
Paula

Hi there,,, I just wanted to mention that I have been having pain in my left eye upon movement. My optic nerve damage and VEP abnormalties are in my right eye.. so I have been very concerned about this pain I am having too. My left eye has been twitching also and it's been going on for the past 3 days as well, not sure what is going on... its been very hot here, in the 90's so who knows.
Hope you get the answers you are looking for,
Pam

I've had that problems before.  My eyes hurt when I would look to the right or left.  In fact it happened right before my nystagmus started.  I don't know the reasoning behind it though.  My pain just went away on its own.  I didn't bring it up to my neurologist.  Hope you get things figured out and get some relief.

i have very bad dull throbbing pain in right eye constantly. pain level is up/down from day/nite. once in awhile the sharp neelde type pain jabs this eye too, though not near as frequent as the dull pain that is inside the eye and shoots back to the back of head.

recent eye exam didn't find ON, but did find a few "notches" on my optic nerve though he could exactly say what was causing it.

now, whether the VA lists it as "not likely related to MS", "more likely than not due to MS", "100% not MS related", "100% MS related", i'll have to wait and see.

he did mention it could be due to MS related spasms that get a hold of eye muscles, head muscles.

beats me, just another thing to add to the MS daily irritablity list. ;-)
