Thank you for your answers

Im on lyrica 300mg already which is for nerve pain and i drink buckets of tonic water cause i heard that was good for muscle cramps.I think i will try and get the magnesium supplement you suggested.
I had as awfull night last night got worken up with white flashes in front of my eyes and electric type pains and bad muscle cramps i think i must of got too hot in bed cause heat always makes my symptoms worse. my right eye is blurred again today with floaties in front of it.

once again thanks for your posts.

I would have to speculate and say its a form of paresthesia,as I get these tight band feeling. Its a tight band feeling vs the contractions of a muscle ,like I get with the spacticity.

Tonic water with quinine in it will help with the muscle spasms(old remedy, but effective)

I don't know if they are muscle contractions (which is my best best) or a form of paresthesia, which is a false signal from a damaged nerve.  I'll try to look it up later.  The exquisitely sensitive to touch area is a neuropathic pain for sure.  Ask your doctor GP, if you can get something for nerve pain.  Common meds are Neurontin (older, effective, but with more side effects), Lyrica, topomax.  It's important.  They can be used when the cause of the pain is unknown and won't effect the subsequent testing.

Other possibilities include the supplement Alpha Lipoic Acid, 600mg per day.  It is used in Europe for different kinds of nerve pain, like Trigeminal Neuralgia and diabetic neuropathy.  Also for muscle spasm you should take a good quality of magnesium supplement.  The common form you find in the drugstore is magnesium oxide - not effective with neurological and metabolic needs because it isn't not very "bioavailable", that is it doesn't get into the body very well.  It's used in Most over the counter preparations because it is CHEAP.  I recommend one of, or a mixture of, the following:

magnesium orotate
mag arginate
mag succinate
mag taurate
mag glycinate

Good luck, many of the others have had this sensation, I have not.  Quix

I get the tight band sensations at times too. Mine are usually in my legs. I do think it is more related to the nerves than the muscles. But, I could be wrong.

Neurontin seems to help me a lot with the neurological symptoms. Are you taking anything for nerve pain? Sometimes it a matter of adjusting the dose, or trying a different medication.

I hope you find some relief soon.
