The way it normally works with Neurologists is if nothing shows up on the MRI they wait six months to a year for another one. I went through this even with things showing up on all my tests from the beginning for two years. This is not an easy disease to diagnose. The neurological exam in the office shows them a lot. The reflexes, etc.

With me they also did a ton of blood work to rule out other illnesses, Evoked Potential,
Neuro opthamological testing and finally a Lumbar puncture. Everything pointed to MS off the bat but it took two years for the Doctors to say for sure it was MS.

It was the slowest precess I have ever been through. Good luck,

Alex

MS without lesions are possible but I think they account for only 5% of all cases so I guess it is very unlikely but as tonyad said I would look for another neuro if you feel like being neglected.

Anxiety and panic attacks can trigger a lot of the symptoms you described. It's not that anxiety and panic attack does not have real physical symptoms, in fact they are real, it's not all in your head but your head can be the trigger for the symptoms. So I would look for anxiety and panic attack disorders. Maybe it's a result of an underlying depression or something else. I'm sure it do need more investigation tho.

Hello, and Welcome to the Forum :)

Sorry to hear that you are going through these physical as well as emotional issues right now.

Is your Neuro one who you really like and feels that he is doing good by you?
If he is and you really think that he is trying to figure out what is going on with you.....then I would call his office and let them know of these new sx you are having. If nothing else, at least they will be charted so ther will be some sort of documentation on this.

However, if you feel that this Neuro is not looking out for you and taking you seriously, then I would certainly find another Neuro as soon as possible.  Is that the first time you have ever passed out or do you regularly have bouts of NEAR syncope (passing out)?   Are you a diabetic?  HAve heart issues?

I wish you well and for some answers soon!
